Riftstead
The homestead grows on real time, even with the game closed. Here is what comes after your first harvest.
First steps
- Talk to Orvan the Riftwright at the Guild: he opens the way to the homestead. The Singing Crystal shard inside brings you back.
- Clear the land (scythe on weeds, axe on stumps, pickaxe on rocks), till with the hoe, plant a seed of the season and water it. Out-of-season crops stop growing.
- Whatever goes into the shipping bin is paid when the homestead day turns, at 3:00 UTC — the same time pets for your animals and help from friends reset.
- Once harvested, a crop is worth more in a machine, a Guild Bundle or the Manor cellar than at the counter.
Machines
Made at the homestead workbench and placed on a cleared, untilled plot. Each one takes 1 harvest (of any quality) and returns the product after the timer — the crop alone decides what comes out.
| Machine | Workbench | Takes | Gives | Time |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Fruit | … Wine (×3 the crop value) | 2 days | ||
| Grain | … Ale (×2.5 the crop value) | 1 day | ||
| Leaf, Root, Legume | … Juice (×2.25 the crop value) | 1 day | ||
| Fruit | … Jelly (×2 the crop value) | 12 h | ||
| Leaf, Root, Legume | Pickled … (×2 the crop value) | 12 h | ||
| any crop | 1 to 3 seeds of the same crop | 4 h | ||
| any crop + |

A working machine can't be picked up. When ready, the product floats above it and one click collects it; the pickaxe stores an idle machine.
Animals in the Pasture
- The coop and the barn have fixed spots in the Pasture, east of the house. Pay for the build and wait for it to finish; then buy animals from the building's panel.
- Each product uses 1 Hay from the trough. Without hay the animal just stops — it never gets sick or dies — and the stopped time doesn't come back. Scything weeds drops hay, and the Seed Shop sells it.
- Pet once a day: +20 affection, up to 1000. At the cap, 50% of the products come out doubled.
- The building stores products until full; when full, production waits for you to collect. Milk becomes cheese in the press, and wool becomes cloth on the loom.
| Building | Cost | Time | Slots | Trough | Stores | Animals |

12 h | +2 h |
| Manor The manor gains a cellar: casks where wine and cheese age up to Radiant quality. |
12,000 gold |
1 day | +2 h |
The cellar
The Manor gains a cellar with 6 casks. Whatever goes in ages by itself in real time, and taking it out gives the quality reached so far.
Goes into a cask:
… Wine (from Fruit)
Cheese
Goat Cheese
- Silver after 2 days
- Gold after 4 days
- Radiant after 8 days
Only the regular item goes in; each quality step sells for more.
Guild Bundles
At the Guild board, "View bundles". Deliver bit by bit: each delivery takes what's still missing from your bag, of any quality (regular first). Once complete, the bundle pays its reward once.
| Bundle | Needs | Reward |
|---|---|---|
| Farmer's Bundle Crops from two seasons for the Guild. |
Rift Greenhouse | |
| Miner's Bundle What the Rift Mine gives. |
Mine Elevator | |
| Rancher's Bundle Eggs, milk and wool from the Pasture. |
5,000 gold | |
| Artisan's Bundle What comes out of the farm's machines. |
Rift Greenhouse
The glass building sits at the top of the homestead and shows faded until the bundle. Inside, a 8×4 plot that grows in any season: planting, growth and beast sowing ignore the calendar.
Mine Elevator
One click breaks every ready vein on every open floor of the Rift Mine, until your bag is full. It needs the pickaxe, like normal digging.
